Summer Camp Guidelines

Withdraw Policy

If a student needs to withdraw from a summer camp, they need to do a withdraw form either in person at the front desk or on our website.  Withdraws are not accepted by phone or email.  For a full refund/credit, the from must be received in the office 7 days before the start of camp.  After 7 days, the refund will be reduced based on how many days are left before camp begins.  Once a camp begins, there are no refunds for that camp if a student can not attend.

Changing Camps

Students are allowed to change camps up to 3 days before the camp is scheduled to begin.  If there is a difference in tuition prices, the difference is required to be paid at the time the change is made.  A change cannot be made after the originally registered camp has begun. 

NSF Payments

I hereby authorize the school to electronically debit my bank account for the amount of any NSF paper check or auto-debit transaction plus a $20 NSF fee.


Extreme Weather or Unexpected Interruption of Classes:

If the school must cancel classes due to extreme weather or events beyond our control such as power outages, the school will arrange one make up day for the entire school.  No refunds for lessons missed due these reasons will be given.  If students cannot make the make up schedule, no refunds will be given.


Parent’s Responsibility to be Aware of Dates and Events:

It is the responsibility of the parent or adult student to be aware of all school activities, such as recitals, registration dates, trophy due dates, and dates the school is open or closed.  The parents will give the school their email address to email all such notices home.  The school will post all notices on the “School Calendar” page on the website as well as in the front of the student’s assignment binder  and emailing the information through our email system.   It is the parent’s responsibility to regularly check their email and the signs around the school.  It is the responsibility of the parents or adult students to inform the school of any email address change, address change or telephone number change.


Care of Students:

The school is not responsible for providing before or after care for students.  Parents of students who take after or before office hours must remain in the building at all times.  Students are not to be left at the school for excessive time periods before or after their lessons.  Once a student leaves Masterworks School of the Arts, the school is no longer responsible for them. 



The school reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regularly scheduled teacher is ill or otherwise in able to teach classes.  If a teacher is ill and the school cannot arrange a substitute, a refund will be made.



Parents, legal guardians of minors, students and adult students waive the right to any legal action for any injury sustained on school property resulting from normal lessons activity or any other activity conducted by the students before, during or after lesson/class time.  In the case of medical emergency, Masterworks School of the Arts, Inc. is granted permission to order necessary emergency treatment for students.  School officials are authorized to take whatever action is deemed necessary for the health and safety of students in the event of an accident or illness.


Photo Release:

The school is hereby granted permission to take photographs or video of the students to use in brochures, web sites, posters, advertisements and other promotional materials the school creates.  Permission is also hereby granted for the school the copyright such photographs in its name.
